Brownies and Guides from Mtubatuba, Mkuze, Ubombo, Empangeni, Eshowe, Melmoth, Kwambonambi and Richards Bay congregated at the Moth Hall, Empangeni to celebrate Thinking Day. Thinking day is an annual event to celebrate the joint birthday of lord and Lady Baden-Powell.

History maker: For the first time in Zululand history, a local Guide has been chosen to be a South African representative at an international Guide camp in Austria. The camp from mid-july untill mid-August, will be attended by more than 500 delegates.

Every Brownie and Guide group has a sister link company in another country with whom it corresponds. at the thinking Day celebrations Belinda Holtzkamp of Eshowe, dressed in the uniform of her American link group, brought greetings to Zululand from Arizona.

Thinking Day: A total of 270 multiracial Guides and Brownies attended a "Thinking Day" celebration last Saturday at the moth hall, Emapngeni. The programme included an impressive colour march-in, a mass ceremony, and games and entertainment.

Over 20 care bears were made by the 1st Empangeni Brownies pack in  just over 2 months . In an act to help alleviate the underprivilege by also providing tinned foods that will also be distributed to the Empaangeni Child and Welfare society . its all about giving a hand .
