Bhidli, Laduma and Eric Khwela eat from the goat's liver from the meat tray on which there is also coarse white salt, into which the pieces of the liver were dipped.Bhidli wers in the middle of his headring the head skin of  a cata (which one?) and behind it two red Lourie feathers.

Madela strikes with a stone as a hammer on a butcher's knife in order to cut off the epiphysis from the metatarsus of a hind foot which is placed on a large stone

The two ankle bones have been placed on the meat tray while Madela continues to work. His neck-band is from leopard skin. The Creator, Mvelinqangi, had told him to wear it. His necklaces are better seen on F19/20.

With a pocket knife Madela cuts off those bones of the joints of the metatarsia which are used for dividing as dices (amathambo "bones).

Laduma sits on Bafungile's bed in front of "Zauberei im Zululand" and Die Bantubibel des Blitzzauberers Laduma Madela" and many albums with photos by the author in his kraal. He wears a necklace of roughly made wooden beads (made by himself).

Sarturday before Easter Sunday 1979: Ziphelaphi and Laduma in front of the Piper which the author had hired at Vryheid for a round flight. Unfortunately the weather was bad so that it was impossible to fly over the Madelas' kraal.

Good Friday 1979: Madela presents a spear of the type isijula which he had forged and treated with medicines to three men who had ordered it. They intended to kill with it a " baboon", be it an animal or a human baboon, who used to milk their cows at might.

Laduma with a magical powerful necklace, iziqu, from the cones of casuarina equisetifolia (casuarinaceae) which the author had bought in 1977 from the Santa Lucia Bay. The pendant is a container, umfece, for snuff-medicine, carved by Laduma Madela from the wood of umthombo.

Laduma in front of the tree Clerodendrum glabrum (Verbenaceae in his  neighbour's Mashingeni Khumal kraal. It is a tree which is said never to be striken by lightning. From its branches the lightning-rods are made.
