Sandy Jacobson (40), who was brutally assaulted and murdered over the weekend and found locked in the boot of her car on Monday, was my cousin. I knew her when I was a child and and she a hippy-rebel teenager, but only heard of her again in 1990, when she telephoned me and asked me to meet her in Botswana.
