The 1952 South African camp for training guiders of the South African Girl Guides' Association in campcraft was opened in Burman Drive this morning. About 37 girls from all the provinces, Rhodesia and Basutoland are attending. This picture shows some of the girls pitching their tent. |

Cape Town sea rangers take their last look at Durban from the decks of the stirling Castle after spending a short holiday in Durban. They hoped to stay for 10 days but could not get accommodation and had to return on the same ship which brought them up the coast. |

The Natal contingent of Scouts for the World Jamboree in Austria sailed in the mailship yesterday from Durban. In the same ship, returning to Capetown after two days in Durban, were a party of Sea Rangers, some of whom are photographed above. |
