No one likes to be the bearer of bad news, but in this programme Alex Tetteh-Tartey pays respect to to the memory of two notable Africans. Docteur Nico, who must be one of the most popular musicians ever to come from that home of popular music, Zaire. And the death of of Alex La Guma, a figure of considerable literary stature was announced in Cuba. The poet Dennis Brutus, another South African writer living in exile, knew Alex La Guma over many years was asked by Alex Tetteh-Lartey to talk about La Guma the man, as well as the writer.
