The ruin's wall served as a windscreen in which the meat of the ox and samp were cooked for the ceremony. In the background a guest hut and Ziphelaphi's little square house. Standing, Ziphelaphi, kneeling Laduma's youngest sister Khanyisile Qwaline Khumalo, to the left a son of Mbabazeini Madela; the little boy who is standing is Phila Madela an illegimate son of Laduma's daughter Hlomeleni.
