In Bafungile's house several women (more than on the picture) eat from the raw contents of the ox' stomach, umswani. This food is a priviledge of married women. From left to right: Old Nomaswazi Madide Madela who is the mother of Mbabazeni Madela and one of the wives of Laduma's and Susa's common father Mveli Madela; the isangoma Khulumile Khumalo (mostly hidden with yellow head cloth); Laduma's wife Bafungile, Susa's youngest wife Totoyi Mhlongo Madela; Laduma's daughter Alexina Madela Dlakude (only her topknot is seen) and Celani Madela Mthethwa (with green head cloth) and an unknown woman.
