It was hard work, but it was also fun for these Guides when they had to distribute wood to various points of the camp-site at the Hatcheries yesterday in preparation for the national camp. The wood-all six tons of it was supplied by the local Corporation.

Two Pietermaritzburg Girl Guides (left), Claire Roberts (15) and Shiela Frye (16), were last night presented with the movement's highest award, the founder's Badge, by the district Commissioner, Miss J. Mitchell. Both girls have been guides for about 5years.
