Mrs Douglas Murray was elected national president of the Girl Guides Association of South Africa at a meeting of the headquarters council. Mrs Murray who was chief commissioner from 1964 to 1969 has been ivolved in the Girl Guide movement since its inception more than 50 years ago. |

This week 4sixers from the Brownie Pack of whom Mrs. Ross-Jones is the guider, proudly displayed scrap books, which are combined effort by the Brownie pack. Each year Brownies make scrap books which are in turn sent to childrens homes and hospitals and sometimes even mission stations. |
