The girl Estcourt is proud of 18- year old Ingrid Kuss of the 1st guide company who was invested Lone Ranger, the first for 18 years in Natal. She is one of two who will represent the republic in Rhodesia.

This week 4sixers from the Brownie Pack of whom Mrs. Ross-Jones is the guider, proudly displayed scrap books, which are combined effort by the Brownie pack. Each year Brownies make scrap books which are in turn sent to childrens homes and hospitals and sometimes even mission stations.

Two Pietermaritzburg Girl Guides (left), Claire Roberts (15) and Shiela Frye (16), were last night presented with the movement's highest award, the founder's Badge, by the district Commissioner, Miss J. Mitchell. Both girls have been guides for about 5years.
