The original handwritten letter from David Livingstone to Mr. Napier, 24 June 1865, is housed at the Killie Campbell archives, Campbell Collections, UKZN.  The letter can be consulted at the Campbell Collections.

The Campbell Collections also houses a scrapbook of material about David Livingstone, containing newscuttings and articles as well as handwritten copies of his letters.  The scrapbook is available for consultation at the Campbell Collections (Scrapbook 20).

The material in the Livingstone scrapbook includes the following three documents:

• Copy of a list of seeds presented to Hooker, 5 February 1857
• Copy of a letter to an unknown recipient ("Dear Friend & Sister"), 17 December 1857
• Copy of a letter to Neve Foster, 12 January 1860
