The famous John Dunn who set himself up as a Zulu chief, is seen here with his indunas. In the early days, he was favorably received by Cetshwayo and prospered in trading and cattle farming until the war. Eventually, he fought on the British side, thereby losing the king's friendship, and became one of Sir Garnet Woseley's kinglets' in Zululand after the war.
