King Cetywayo received as a personal gift from the Queen a three-handled beer mug made by a London silversmith and capable of holding a considerable volume of beer. In the troubles that followed his return to Zululand, the mug disappeared for many years until it was found by a Zuku who observed a strange object embedded in the bank of a stream. Mr. Harris, the owner of the trading store, bought it and on his retirement presented it to the Zululand Historical Museum at Eshowe.
