Thank you for your letter in January. I had promised myself that I would always reply to you within a month, but I've failed, sorry! Glad the photos were good. Good news about Fio - I do hope its true! I have an old friend, an Italian (another!) who lives in Kenya, and he told me in March last year that his mother was dying of cancer, so when I wrote at Christmas, i presumed she might well be dead so I was careful what I wrote.
