In accordance with General Assembly resolution 46/80 of 13 December 1991. and as adopted in the Paris Statement by the International Conference on the Educational Needs of Disadvantaged South Africans (25 to 27 June 1991). the United Nations Educational and Training Programme for Southern Africa (UNETPSAI and its Advisory Committee organized a Follow-up Conference on International Educational Assistance to Disadvantaged South Africans at United Nations Headquarters in New York on 8 and 9 September 1992.
