THE INDIAN QUESTION REPATRIATION

Councillor A.L. Barns, on his return from New York, where he had attended the recent meeting of the General Assembly of the United Nations as an onlooker of the Na.tal Municipal Association, addressed a meeting of the Durban Joint Wards Committee on the 3rd January, 1947.
In the course of his address, Councilor Barns is reported by the "Natal Daily News" of the 4th January, 1947, to have stated that:
