EdThe General Assembly, in its resolution 2060 (XX) requested the Secretary-General to organize an international seminar on apartheid in 1966 under the programme of advisory services in the field of human rights. The basic aim of the programme is to enable governments to share experiences and knowledge gained in solving or attempting to solve problems of human rights. One of the principal methods used in carrying out this programme has been the organization of seminars.
