To welcome the chief commissioner of the girl guides Association of South Africa, Mrs Phyllis, Greenwood to Pietermaritzburg held a dinner in St. Mary Hall.

One of the highlights of a multi-racial gathering of Girl Guides held in Pietermarizburg. Mrs. Phyllis Greenwood, was a sari demonstration given by Mrs Joan Moodley and Mrs. Yogs Moodley of Pietermarizburg.

The annual Girl Guide and Brownie divisional swimming gala was held Empangeni on October 27th. This is the second year that the gala has been held and proved most enjoyable to all who attended .
