This program comes from Sierra Leone, and the music from Burundi. The guest artist, Olayinka Burney-Nicol, comes from Freetown, Sierra Leone. She trained largely in the United States and also in London. Her output is enormously varied: she paints, she sculpts, she designs screens and large murals for public buildings; and she design and prints textiles and does tie-dying.
