In this programme, Alex Tetteh-Lartey introduced poets and their poetry. Music and poetry are inseparable in so many African traditions, and in this instance someone else is singing the words of the Angolan poet, Antonio Jacinto who was chosen as the winner of the 1985 NOMA Award for books published in Africa. Alex Tetteh-Lartey speaks with Fiona Ledger, who is a producer in the BBC African Service about her admiration and the background of Jacinto's poetry.
