The highest awards: Three Durban Girl Guides were recently presented with founders' badges. This is the highest award for guides under 16. The badges are presented to Guides of good character with the ability to lead and give service to others. The picture shows (from left) Wendy Coates of the 5th Durban Company (Cato) and Breda Farrell, of the 19th Durban company ( St. Joseph's), looking at the founder's badge on the arm of Sandra Maidens of the 4th Umhlatuzana Company.
