The agrarian problem

An address delivered by I B Tabata to the Society of Young Africa (SOYA); an organisation affiliated to the Unity Movement and consists mainly of young urban workers and intellectuals. The agrarian problem is discused in length in connection with the distribution of the population and the type of work that people are engaged with in relation to the fact that South Africa is predominantly an agrarian country. With the majority of its population involved in agriculture; who are in African peasants and own no land at all. The agrarian problem is not the only problem that we faced with; and National oppression is the other. The Ten-Point Programme is seen as the solution to the problem and so is the policy of non-collaboration. The article mentions the rehabilitation scheme.
