Bearded Necklace

Multi colored bearded necklace with words ' Uhleka ngezinyo kanti uyinyoka'. It is part of the bearded collection of male costumes of the 1980's in Ndwedwe, KwaZulu- Natal.

" Ohe Zoni"

Bearded necklace in white, green, blue and blue with words ' Ohe Zoni'. It came from Emabomvini in KwaZulu- Natal.

' Isibhamba"

Bearded belt in white, black and red beards with a triangle design. It came from KwaNongoma area in KwaZulu- Natal.

Basket Set

 Colorful basket set of a married woman made out of different material: beards and grass. It came from the Tabane or Xinxewane area.

"Izenzo zakho ziqeda uthando"

Bearded long necklace in black and white with words ' Izenzo zakho ziqeda uthando'.  This necklace was given to a husband by his wife from Kranzkop in KwaZulu- Natal.

' Isibhamba"

Coiled bearded belt in white, green and blue beards. It is worn by married women from the Maphumulo area in KwaZulu- Natal.

"Lavi Wami"

Bearded necklace in white, red and green with words " Lavi Wami". The necklace is part of a whole outfit of a married woman from  the Mandeni area in KwaZulu-Natal.

"Ukhezo"

Large wooden carved spoon with blackened triangle incisions on the handle. It is known as Ukhezo in IsiZulu.

" Isigqiki"

Wooden carved headrest on a thick block of wood with incisions of trees and a hut. It came from Ebathenjini area in KwaZulu- Natal.

" Ukhezo"

Long wooden spoon in a spatula shape and burnt blocks as decoration on the handle. It belonged to Mrs. Bambokwakhe Nzama from Ekhombe near Nkandla in KwaZulu- Natal

Smoking Pipe:

Three Dagga smoking pipes carved out of a soap stone, Reed and a Cow's horn . Donated by Mr. S. Bourquin to the Campbell Collections.
