On Friday the 9th October, 1989, the Union of Cuban Writers, Actors and others met me ( a South African Revolutionary) at your offices in Havana and gave so generously of your time. You also presented me with the poetry of Nicholas Guillen.

I have tried for days to find your address even tried the Registrars office and it was permanently engaged. I wanted as did so many others, to put my arm on your shoulder to bring a little bit of the warmth in your life and the lives of the children.

Zapiro is my favorite South African and he does great credit to you. Congrats and thank you for your submission. If  there's a spare copy I'll be grateful for a copy!

Letter from Phyllis Naidoo to Norman Abrahams and Company

When I leave messages on your cell phone I am never sure that you check on these messages. I am so glad you called yesterday. It was you on the 30/6/88 who said, to the lady who adds sunshine to my life.

On both my parents scrap books (2) I would like the following inscription or something that has all these elements.

I have enclosed your letter, envelope and photograph. It would appear that the letter was wet, the envelope was opened and the photo stuck to your thank you note.

I should have written to you a few weeks ago when we buried your son and my comrade Reggie. I promised Matabata that I would - but he gave me an address that did not sound correct.

My dear mother and sisters. Mike Neocosmos, Prisla his wife & 2 children from Lesotho are here - slept overnight & on their way to Maseru at +- 8 am. So I am taking this opportunity to send you the following.
